Startups and investors play a critical role in creating health's future. HLTH VRTL will hold a live Startup Pitch competition featuring 12 of the most innovative early-stage companies in health, Oct. 14th from 3:50pm-4:50pm.
HLTH recognizes there is real disparity around funding for women and minority founders. Only 2.7% of 2019 VC investment dollars went to female founded companies and only 1% of VC-backed founders between 2013 and 2018 were black. Therefore pushing forward, we will have a stronger focus on women and minority founder participation in our startup pitch competition to do our part to close the funding access gap.
HLTH defines early-stage startups as less than 3 years old, with less than $3 million in capital raised.
*Applications are now closed - we look forward to hearing from the finalists at HLTH VRTL!
