Nurses Speak Out: What We Need to Thrive

The pandemic was a breaking point for all frontline healthcare workers, but it was a long time coming for nurses. As every patient knows, nurses are the heart of healthcare and, unsurprisingly, the most trusted professionals in the nation; but they have often been overshadowed by the attention paid to physicians. The current crisis—deep shortages precipitated by the pandemic; high levels of burnout and mental distress; and a workplace that has shifted at breakneck speed with the adoption of telehealth—is amplifying their voices in setting terms for a healthy and safe work environment. Hear from nursing leaders on:
- The tools and programs they most value for mental health and wellbeing
- Structural changes in nursing that can support a healthier, more productive workforce and improved patient care
- What nurses want from digital health and the impact of telehealth adoption during the pandemic
- How healthcare employers can meet the needs of nurses now
