Dissolving the Stigma around Behavioral Health
Although the mental & behavioral crisis is ballooning at an alarming rate, even before the pandemic hit, one silver lining is that the stigma around these issues is disappearing. Behavioral health is getting more integrated into whole health. Payers specifically are realizing that a truly integrated approach to care delivery does not exclude behavioral health. By providing this “whole health” approach, costs are ultimately saved and providers are empowered to intervene earlier with their patients.
On top of payer’s getting on board, patients now have a great variety of therapies at their disposal through digital health modalities such as telemedicine and AI-powered chatbots. Behavioral health’s stigma has been lifted and patient care is now more accessible, convenient and reliable than ever before.
