COVID’s Other Second Wave - Mental Health

Mental health is widely recognized as an important, yet undertreated, facet of whole person health. Unmanaged chronic conditions and financial stress mixed with increasing rates of pandemic-induced anxiety and depression from social isolation has created the perfect storm for mental health issues to compound exponentially. Providers and employers have taken notice of this coming need and are offering mental health and wellness applications at an increasing rate, but quantity does not always mean quality. How do we quantify what treatments and tools are actually working?
There is no exact science to mapping patient engagement, but with smart data analytics, innovative partnerships, and a perfect mix of high tech and high touch- the full patient journey can be tracked and analyzed. Bridging siloed efforts into a cohesive, closed-loop system is the key to keeping mental health as a top priority for patients and their care teams.
Main takeaways:
- What metrics should we be looking at to track success?
- How to put in place measurements so you know if this app is working?
- How can we remotely treat patients, while keeping referring physicians informed?
- How do we ensure that the entire patient journey is not only being documented but analyzed?
