Digital Health for Equitable Health: Leveraging the Role of Policy
The Lancet and Financial Times Commission defines digital transformations as “the multifaceted processes of integration of digital technologies and platforms into all areas of life, including health” and refers to digital transformations as new determinants of health. We are redefining digitally related social determinants of health as “Digital Determinants of Health” or “DDoH”, which are the digital aspects of conditions in the environments where people are born, live, learn, work, play, worship, and age that affect a wide range of health including digital literacy, racial and ethnic biases that limit equal access to digital health technologies and telehealth, and disparate access to digital tools that enhance food security, physical activity, education, job opportunities and higher income, and broadband access. Come meet the Digital Health for Equitable Health (DHEH) Alliance and join an esteemed panel of experts in an active discussion on DDoH, equitable health access, clinical trial diversity, and advancing digital health related policy. We invite you to become a part of a social change movement to take action on DDoHs and to support digital transformation and digital inclusion.
